Privacy Policy
The Hospital Authority, 147B Argyle St, Kowloon, Hong Kong (“HA”) is a statutory body which manages public hospitals in Hong Kong. The HA may collect your personal data if you attend, speak at or participate in the 15th China Chest Pain Centers Congress (CCPCC) 2026 (the “Congress”). This Privacy Policy sets out how the HA will collect and process your personal data.
If you attend the Congress, the HA may ask you for personal data, including your name, title, organisation, contact details, information relating to payment of fees, and other information requested in the registration form on the Congress website.
In addition, if you speak at the Congress, the HA may ask you for information about your qualifications, experience and biography, or may collect such information from online or public sources.
When you provide your personal data, please make sure that the data is accurate and complete. If you do not provide any information identified by the HA as mandatory, the HA’s processing of your registration will be affected and the HA may not be able to register you to attend or speak at the Congress.
The HA may use or process your personal data for the following purposes:
to invite or register you to attend or speak at the Congress;
to organise the Congress, including arranging access, arranging meals (if applicable), verification of identity, and organising associated events;
to contact you with information about the Congress (before, during and after the Congress);
to provide information and services through the Congress website;
(if you are a speaker) to include your name, biography and presentations on the Congress website, publications and programme;
where required or permitted by law;
for other purposes directly relating to the purposes identified above; and
otherwise with your consent.
The HA will obtain your consent before using your personal data for any other purposes.
For the above purposes, please also note that your personal data may be made available to:
third party service providers who provide administrative, storage, telecommunications, information technology and other services to the HA to assist in organising or staging the Congress (and those service providers are subject to obligations not to use or disclose that data, except to provide those services); and
relevant government departments or authorities, if the HA is required or permitted to provide it under the relevant legislation.
The HA will retain your personal data for a maximum of 3 years after the completion of the Congress, subject to any legal or regulatory requirements to retain it for a longer period.
If you wish to seek access to and/or correction of your personal data, you may do so under the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance. For such requests, please contact HA’s Data Controller, Hospital Authority Head Office at Data Protection Unit, Room 529N, 5/F, Hospital Authority Building, 147B Argyle Street, Kowloon, Hong Kong.
This Privacy Policy has been translated into Chinese. If there is any inconsistency or ambiguity between the English version and the Chinese version, the English version shall prevail.
If you are located in the European Union or the United Kingdom and you provide your personal data to the HA, please note the following additional points:
The HA will process your personal data as “controller” for the purposes of the General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”).
The HA is responsible for managing Hong Kong’s public hospital system, and therefore has a legitimate interest to perform its statutory functions and powers. The HA will rely on this legitimate interest to process your personal data, provided that the processing is necessary for the purposes of that legitimate interest and that legitimate interest is not overridden by your interests or fundamental rights and freedoms.
The HA does not engage in any automated decision-making or profiling in relation to Congress attendees or speakers.
You have the following rights under the GDPR subject to certain limitations and/or restrictions and you may contact HA’s Data Controller (see paragraph 7 above) to make a request pursuant to these rights:
- right to access, rectify or request erasure of your personal data;
- right to restrict or object to processing of your personal data; and
- right to data portability.

You have the right to lodge a complaint about the processing of your personal data with your local data protection authority.
If you have any questions about HA’s use or processing of your personal data, please contact HA’s Data Controller (see paragraph 7 above).
If you are located in Chinese mainland and you provide your personal information to the HA, please note the following additional points:
Your personal data is being collected by the HA in Hong Kong, and may be disclosed to the third parties described in paragraph 5 above, who are also located in Hong Kong. This transfer will be made based on your consent, which we will obtain through the registration form. The HA will process your data in accordance with the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance, the PRC Personal Information Protection Law (“PIPL”) and this Privacy Policy.
You have the following rights under the PIPL, subject to certain limitations and/or restrictions, and you may contact HA’s Data Controller (see paragraph 7 above) to make a request pursuant to these rights:
- right to access and obtain a copy of your personal information;
- right to request rectification or supplementation of your personal data;
- right to request erasure of your personal information; and
- right to request transfer of your personal information to a designated processor (data portability).
